Founders
As I entered the opened doors to this underground restaurant I was instantly greeted by a voice, “hey sweaty.” I quickly felt right at home. I walked over to the voice at the bar and a lady maybe in her late forties began to talk to me. After a quick glance at the menu I ordered some wings.
Founders reminded me of a sports bar from back but a more upscale twist to it. The lighting wasn’t as dim as a normal sports bar which added a welcoming feeling. There were TV’s surrounding the seating area so you couldn’t miss a beat. Of course there were chairs in the seating area but there were also comfortable lounge chairs and long booths to sit in.
In the back of founders there is a stage. Not too big, not to small the stage was a place for entertainment. Some night you might even get lucky enough to hear some brave souls try their hand at some karaoke. I looked around just to observe the people and to my surprise there was nothing but laughter and smiles. This place was a perfect place to just relax and get away from the stresses of college life.
The best part about my founders experience was the food. It was so good. I end up ordering more food because it was so enjoyable. I also didn’t mind sticking around to watch a group of students take a crack at the super-sized jinga game going on up on the stage. I was in no hurry to leave and nobody was rushing me out either because there open until about one in the morning. I would defiantly recommend the founders experience to anyone trying to have a good meal and a relaxing time.
